Traceroute Tool

Run a real traceroute from a probe anywhere in the world and see every hop between it and your target, with the latency measured at each one.

Why this one needs a probe

Traceroute works by sending packets with a deliberately small TTL and reading the errors that come back. That needs raw socket access, which browsers do not have, so a real probe runs the command for you. If you want to practise reading traceroute output instead, the Hop Visualizer simulates it instantly and offline.

When you’d reach for this

When traffic reaches a destination slowly, or not at all, and you need to know where it stops. The hop where latency jumps, or where replies stop entirely, is the place to start asking questions.
